Pictorial artist, sculptress, woman. The language of shapes and forms is as mystical as it is comprehensible. Her sculptures in bronze and stone are created from an inner experience, expressed in a symbolism that is universal. The human figure, most often a female, centrally situated as creator of life, bringer of tidings or the moment. Her sculptures move in a continuum of growth and reflection, on their way to the next journey. The sculptures of RS are regularly exhibited in prominent galleries in The Netherlands and Belgium. She also gives workshops and courses in drawing, painting, sculpting and creative expression.

For pictorial artist RS working with stone and bronze is a dialogue with life. Initially she occupied herself with drawing and painting with forms and figures on a 2 dimensional level, later, professionally, with her own graphic design company. Looking for a third dimension she got caught up in the expressive possibilities of stone and bronze. While the results of stone sculpting are only revealed in the last phase, working with bronze is a much more direct way to show her feelings and emotions. Next to her own inner experience, pictorial artist RS finds inspiration in human relationships, the communicative and the spiritual.
